Michael joined Morgan Stanley in 2005 and leads their global gaming and lodging practice, and, until 2017, also led the firm’s western region real estate investment banking business. For the period of 2017 through year end 2019, Michael was EVP, Chief Financial Officer and head of corporate strategy for Host Hotels and Resorts, a S&P 500 company and the largest owner of hotels in the U.S. He announced his stepping down at Host to return to Morgan Stanley in 2019 to lead the global gaming and lodging investment banking practice as well as real estate coverage. Michael is a member of NAREIT and IREFAC.
